Like all indigenous cultures worldwide, Hawaii has been ravaged by the relentlessly insatiable appetite of patriarchal empire. The islands have been captured, stolen, converted, colonized, raped and pillaged, over and over, continuing today. Yet the spirit of Aloha lives on and thrives.
